Email being sent to Fax Server

I am using Outlook 2000 under Windows XP Professional. I have no problem
sending and receiving email, but when my son logs in under his account and
tries to send email it is being sent to the fax server. On opening the
message in the sent items folder, the from field reads "John@Fax Server". We
are connected to the internet using broadband. I have the connection
configured to use LAN.
I guess it is a small setting somewhere within Outlook, but I have compared
his setting with mine and, other than our different e-mail addresses, I
cannot spot a difference. We both use the same ISP.
