Keeping in mind that if you don't know if certain registry/system 32 file
are used or not until you delete them, which may render the system
unbootable, I would suggest a format and reinstall of everything.

This way you can install only what you want and be reasonably sure you don't
have remnants of removed software lingering around.

How can I eliminate all the garbage from my hard drive and my registry?
I was going through the registry and I noticed keys in my
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE that I've never seen in my life. It's the same
thing with my winnt\system, \system32 and \program files dirs. I've seen
files and dirs that I have never installed.
Now I want to get rid of all of it. What's the best way? I found several
utilities that do this but I want you guys to recommend one.

Thanks.

Couldn't agree more with Danny. A clean install is the best solution.
