editing the autocomplete list

Does anyone know how to edit the list of entries for
autocomplete? If you make a mistake, it just adds the
mistake to the list. I know how to clear the list
completely, but I don't want to do that.
 
If you are talking about forms in Internet Explorer, double click on the
form field. This will show you a list of all the stuff entered in that
field before.

Move the mouse over the one you want to get rid of, and press "delete" on
your keyboard.
