Editing Mis-spelt User Name XP

Any way of editing a Mis-spelt user name? I had to replace a dead Hard drive
in friends machine. I reload XP and misspelt his name. This ha affected not
only his XP name but his MS Office componates. Do I have to Re-install XP
and Office?

Rename Users:

Right click on My Computer and select Manage
Expand System Tools then expand Local Users and Groups
Left click on Users folder
Right click on the user name in question and select rename.....
