editing and adding to web page created in diff program

my organization has a web page that was created in dreamweaver. i am to
become the webmaster for the page. the web page creator that i use is
fp2000. will i have any difficulty using fp with this page? or should i just
rebuild from the ground up.

Why don't you do 2 good backups and then define a new site in Dreamweaver
and set one of the backups as the site you want to try to work with in FP.
Some things will be fine, others, maybe not. You weren't too specific about
how complex the Dreamweaver site is. You may find that using Dreamweaver
would be much better... put the learning curve is STEEP. Are you working o a
'page' or a whole site?
Don't think you can accomplish this change quickly or easily.
