Edit web pages on host server

Our company recently upgraded and wiped out the "default" settings on my FP
program. I am unable to open my web pages for editing. They are not on my C
driver or the on-site server. These pages are hosted outside the facility,
but I have always been able to access before. I know I just need to expand
the parameters FP searches for pages under but cannot remember how. Help!

Open the live web in FP (File, Open Site, http://www.xyz.com) and then
publish it back to your hard drive (or whereever you want to work on it
locally) using File, Publish Site and then C:\MyWeb (replace with your
location)

I am unable to even open the website, no matter how I enter it in the "Open
Site" section, so I can't save to any local location. Alos, I have never had
to save this to my C drive in the past and I have been able to edit w/o
problem. Do you know of any way to expand the search parameters beyond the
"MyWeb" section of the C drive?

Do you get an error message when you try and open the live site?

What search parameters? You mean Windows Search (Start, Search, Files and
Folders)?

I am getting an error message while trying to open the live site, it says it
is password restricted. I think I need to set a remote web site location.
Guess I'll have to call the host server for the ftp address.

Thanks!

The site must have the FP extensions installed on the host server, in order for you to open the site
directly in FP

Contact your host and make sure the FP Extensions are installed and that you
have the right access to open the site.
