edit function in IE6

i am running IE6 with svc pack 1-whenever open certain web
sites and i want to "edit on-line" the edit button is
disabled and greyed out. this seems to be an on and off
problem, but most of the time, i am unable to get into my
web site on-line to edit, as i would like to.

i have run the latest version of McAFee virus scan as well
and nothing came up. is this an IE problem or another
problem? any ideas? its becoming quite difficult...

This is usually fixed by emptying the Temporary Internet Files.

Also, if you have a shortcut to Notepad on your desktop rename it to Npad.

Some people have reported that Quick View Plus can cause this.
