edit email address

Is there a way to edit the email address in outlook 2003's contact manager
area? I'm talking about when you go to contacts and then double click one,
it pulls up a tabbed screen with that contact's info (general, details,
activities, certificates and all fields). In the upper right corner of the
General tab it has a box for "E-mail..." but you can't edit it. you can copy
and paste it from there to a text editor and then paste the edited address
back in, but AFAICS there is no way to edit it right there. Can't even do it
in the "All Fields" tab. This is very annoying so I figured I'd finally ask
to see if there's a way to do this.

Thanks,

Keith

Sure you can edit the e-mail. Just highlight the address and start typing in
the new one to replace what's there. If you want to edit just a couple of
characters, however, double-click the address and make the changes in the
"E-mail properties" dialogue that will appear. Make sure you change both the
Display name and the address if you want the "E-mail" entry to match the
address to which Outlook will send the message when you select that contact.
