EDIT command not in repair dos commands

Hi,

Does anyone have a suggestion for the old edit command that is not present
in the repair dos commands of XP? This is where you boot from the
installation disk, go to repair console and repair yourself. You wind up at
a DOS like window that has many commands, BUT not edit. Any ideas how to
import one (like look to a floppy with an old edit on it) or what might
work? This doesn't come up often, but when it does, you say Boy I wish I
could edit that file...and can't.

It's by design. A NT program may work. But people don't make NT programs, they make windows programs.
