This software is incompatible in Win XP but some of my
CD's burned in Win 98 using this software are shown as
being blank in XP. How can I make them readable again?

Your problem might be that there are multiple UDF formats,
and they are not all compatible. (Direct CD is a one type
of UDF, bu the details may have changed from the older
easy CD to the newer.)

The surest route is to install the old verison of Easy CD
on a win98 machine, then write CD-R with Joliet format.

However, I realize that may not be pracical.

So, an alternative is to try some third-party CD recovery
software, like ISOBUSTER which can often read a CD without
using the default XP software.
