I am setting up a simple newsletter in the body of an email -- want to list
"topics in this issue" up top for folks to click and be brought to that item
lower in the email.

I was told set it up as HTML -- do I use bookmark ?? and then hyperlink to
the bookmark in the document -- the thing is, when I do that it works until I
send it -- then when I open the mail it thinks the bookmark is a webpage?

any suggestions?

I have the same problem. In an email that I received when I reply I bookmark
a section of the email message and at the top I create a Hyperlink to the
bookmark below in the message I received.
Before hitting the send button the link still works (CTRL + Click) because I
am still in edit mode with Word as editor.
After hitting the send button the link is broken because when the recipient
clicks on the link he gets the message that the page cannot be displayed and
that the server cannot be found. The recipient is on the same network as I am
and the link is to section in the same message!
I am using Office 2003 SP1 with exchange server 2000 in an SBS 2000 network.
Creating a link in word document using the same bookmark works. Creating a
hyperling to a file on the network also works. Only the hyperlink to the
bookmark fails. The format I use to compose is Rich Text. I also tried using
it by composing the email with HTML.
Any suggestion how to resolve this?
