e-mails are being converted to plain text though HTML is chosen

e-mail messages are being converted to plain text though HTML is chosen in
message format options. This happened in the OL 2003 client; I updated the
user's Office Suite to 2007 and the problem still persists. I've drilled down
through the various mail format settings but nothing really jumps out... Has
anyone else come across this before?

Are these emails that you are receiving, or are these emails that you are
sending?

Hi Gordon;

I had the user forward a HTLM formatted message (I was connected to her
machine remotely & I could see the document she was sending was in HTML
format). A plain text message arrived in my mailbox... This also happens when
she receives messages.

Hi, folks. I also have this posted under the topic "Sending messages in HTML
format but they arrive in plain text". No solution yet. I have an
apparently similar situation. Some messages from persons I know are sending
HTML Outlook messages, arrive in plain text. Other messages from the same
person are HTML when I read them. And some messages from commercial
sources (like HP newsletter, department store adds, etc.) are unreadable with
many URLs and scattered bits of text, all in plain text. I'm hoping for
further discussion on this issue. Thank you.

Are you using AVG 8? If so, try unchecking the "Certify Email" box
and see if that changes anything. I'm am testing that on my computer
to see if that fixes the problem.

Hi all;

After a month of trying various fixes I used the only option that was
available to me & reimaged the laptop... Everything is working fine now.

KP
