Hi

I am doing a presentation in MS Access and one of the macros i want to show
e-mails a bit of text.
During the presentation i won't actually have access to the work network,
i'll be running of a laptop without net access.
Is there any way i can set up an e-mail account locally so that i can send
an e-mail to myself on the PC.

Not an Outlook question.

Anyway; you'll need to install a mail server on the local client or for
instance use an Exchange server in a virtual environment.

You never bothered to mention WHICH version of Windows that you are
using. Some versions come with an SMTP server (you may have to
install it under "Add/Remove Windows Components", a left-pane
selection in "Add/Remove Programs" applet in Control Panel).
