E-mail rules

DAK if one can set the rules that move e-mails to particular folders, etc. to
apply once an e-mail is read, rather than when it arrives ? The initial text
of the rule template is "Apply this rule after the message arrives", but this
does not seem editable.

You can't do that with rules. With some VBA code it migth be possible.

I know of one email client which can apply rules "on open", or "on close",
of an email: Pegasus Mail.
