E-mail Reminders for no reason

B

Bryan Reid

Here's my issue:
When I start Outlook I get 500+ reminders, some of which are valid but the
overwhelming majority are related to e-mails that never were flagged.
Sometimes this happens upon opening Outlook, other times I get just my
actual list of reminders.
I just tried the outllook.exe /cleanreminders command and the 500+ reminders
just re-appeared.
I've even opened one of the e-mails that showed up in my reminder (without a
flag) and marked it complete. It still shows up as a reminder.

Any thoughts as to what's happening or what I can do to fix it?

Thanks, Bryan

Sorry - should have included that.

Outlook 2007 (12.0.6316.5000), SP1 MSO (12.0.6213.1000)

As for the mail account, it's a POP/SMTP account. I don't have an exchange
server.

FYI - I noticed that many of the e-mails that pop up for reminders are
actually Sent E-mails - again with no flag.

That help? Thanks.

Try deleting and recreating your profile. Don't copy the profile, that would
copy over any potential corruption.

Please post back if that doesn't resolve anything. Something else to try is
scanning your PST file for errors. Make sure Outlook is closed and no
instances are running in the Task Manager before you start the procedure. If
the scan finds any errors and repairs them, run it again (until no further
errors are found).
