E-mail links stoped working

the problem is with e-mail,whenever i get some weblinks in e-mail ,the moment
i click on them it opens a path window in my document to store some file with
the default file type shown as .exe file.
In the address toolbar in the taskbar if i use to give a webadress & press
enter it use to open the internet exporer now it odesnot happens .
I am surprised as i have the latest mcafee & anitspware of microsoft running
on my Pc

Click Start, Run and type CONTROL INETCPL.CPL. Select the Programs tab and
choose Reset Web Settings. Click OK, OK.
