E Mail again

see my question below at 10:55 am. I tried the solution
that was given by Bruce but the changes don't take. I've
tried some other icons such as "safely remove hardware"
but they vanish as soon as they are not in use, even
though they are checked "show always". My "new E Mail"
icon will not show up in the notification tray. Thanks
for the help.

It might help to know what e-mail client (application) you are using?

In the future, please post in the original thread or if you are going to
start a new thread as you did here, repost your question so we don't have to
spend time hunting for your original post.

Also, please note that the newsreaders will give local time, so posting a
time is pretty much meaningless.
