Dynamic to basic

Is there a way to convert a dynamic disk to a basic disk without loosing all
the content on the drive?

I cannot access this drive anymore because it is set to dynamic, how this
happened is beyond me, it locked up on me in the middle of the night and upon
restart it would not boot, all the hardware checks out in good order but the
drive is dynamic which I never set it to, it offers conversion in Disk
Management but at the price of loosing everything I have which I cannot
afford...

Don't think there is a way to reset the disk as you wish.

You might want to replace the disk with a new one so the machine can be
used.. while you examine data recovery options.

You may need to contact a competent recovery lab. This is frequently not
inexpensive, but if the drive actually spins there's a better chance of a
lower cost.

For reference, and I have used these folks a few times, this is what I mean
by "recovery lab"
