I am having shut down problems with dwinn.exe.

The exact error is "The application failed to initiliaze because the windows
station is shutting down."

My system also comes up with an Adobe Error "immediately" after the Windows
error. The adobe error comes up right after the dwinn error. The exact error
is "The instruction at "0x5ad71531" referenced memory at "0x00000014". The
memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the page.

Please help

Apparently Dr. Watson is trying to run because of the Adobe error. Uninstall
your Adobe software and then reinstall. If you only have the Adobe Reader,
get the most recent version from their website.

I am already using the most recent version of Acrobat Reader. The only thing
I changed was I unchecked Display PDF in browser to get rid of the adobe
error "referenced memory at 0x00000014". This information is available at
adobe.com for the adobe error. How can I fix the dwinn error?

Don't have Adobe running in the background. When you installed Adobe Reader,
it put a "speed start" in your Startup folder. Delete that and see if it
makes a difference. Otherwise, the issue is with Adobe and not Windows.
Contact Adobe tech support.

A decent (free) replacement for Adobe Reader is Foxit if you can't get Adobe
to behave.
