dvi cable connection to projector

I would like to play videos on a computer and out put to a projector casio
xj450 can I use a dvi connection and is this better than via the monitor
cable- ??
I am not sure of technology can someone help?

Casio does not indicate that that model has a DVI input, so no, you can't
use it with DVI unless you buy a transcoder.

On the other hand if your video board has a DVI-I output (DVI-I also carries
the standard analog signals) you can use an inexpensive adapter to carry
the analog signals to the projector--this will not in general give you any
difference in image quality from using the regular analog connector.
