DVD+RW, Cannot write to anymore

You should probably, at the very least, get a couple of new DVD-RW's, maybe
even try a different manufacturer (I haven't had too many problems with
Memorex disks, but from the sounds of it there are quite a few people that
have had lots of problems with Memorex disks).

I don't know if I would go through the Dell site. Maybe you could find a
firmware update on the manufacturers web site. Or you could try here:
http://tdb.rpc1.org/#GWA4040N - yours would be the first one. If you already
have the 1.19 firmware for it then I would disregard this site.

yup, 1.19,
Despite my earlier reluctance, must be my DVD+RW's.

I wanted to follow up with this and mention I bought new DVD+RW's and
all work fine.
My "old" ones has superficial scratches I guess causing the issue.
FYI for anyone having similar problems.
