dvd rom troubles

Hello, my dvd rom has all of the sudden stopped playing back dvds. I have not
had any troubles previously, I dont know what is causing it to not to read
dvds. It functions ok when I use it to copy music or data cds. I use xp
home ed. and the dvd rom is sony. Please help me I don't know if it is a
hardware or software problem. Thank you

Hi Elly,

First thing to try is a CD/DVD lens cleaner disk. These are commonly
available for a few dollars at any store that sells CD's. You may simply
have a dirty lens.
