DVD Rom drive plese help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i put in a DVD in my drive sits for 5 minuts then seas that windows can not read this disk it might be cerupted or using a format tha is not compatible with windows. plese help
 
1. Open XP's "Help and Support"
2. Type DVD in the search box, hit enter.
3. Click on "DVD Troubleshooter".
4. You probably need a new DVD decoder.

i have done that and instald a new decoder if nothing els ill try it agin but do you have eny sugjestions?
