DVD-ROM and XP don't work!

When I updated Win98 to xp home, my toshiba DVD-ROM no
longer works. It's a gateway system, pentium II, and the
dvd player came with it. Windows says they don't have an
updated driver, and toshiba won't back it because it came
as a component in the system. CD's are fine, but no
movies! Any help? I've even tried Sonic cineplayer and
WinDVD updates.

Gateway may not. The system came with Windows 98 and that is all they are
willing to support.

Y.
