DVD-Ram driver for XP Pro

I run the compatibility test for XP Pro and it says that
the DVD ram driver is not supported. This is on a Tosiba
2455-305 lap top with cd/dvd combo burner. Itried
installing anyway but could not use the dvd player at all
I had to run restore disk to get it back up and running
