DVD Playing Problem

I can't seem to get my DVD Drive to read DVDs. I must have changed something
because it worked before. The computer only recognizes the drive as a CD RW
drive instead of a DVD/CD RW drive. Does anybody know how to make the
computer recognize it? It plays and reads cds and it shows that the drive is
a DVD RW drive.

I have Windows XP. Dell Dimension 3000. It has an internal CD RW drive,
internal DVD ROM drive, and an external Pacific Digital DVD/CD RW drive
