DVD Player; where is it?

Hey Guys,
I just installed Windows Xp Home Edition and i went to play a DVD and it
says that the program needs to be reinstalled or something. I tried putting
the disc back in to see if you could install the program seperately, like you
could with Windows 98, but i didn't see anything that looked familiar and
that would be able to help me. Something that i missed? Any ideas? Thanks

No version of Windows has ever included a DVD player. You must install a
third party DVD player, such as PowerDVD or WinDVD. If your computer has a
DVD drive or DVD burner, chances are it came with some type of software to
play DVDs.

Do you have a DVD player in the computer?? Or is it just a CD Rom?
If it came with the computer, look in the programs folder for a DVD Player.
If it is not there, go to your favorite Software/computer Shop and purchace
a Software to play DVD's (such as MaximusDVD or PowerDVD or WinDVD.
