I just had win 2000 pro installed on my computer. My
previous OS was Win 98 had a DVD player when I purchased
it from DELL. Why there isn't DVD player/driver from this
new Win 2000 Pro. If I want to have one installed to see
movies, where can I download it from? What does it call?
Can I get it free or I have to purchase it as an option?
Please help to answer my question. Thank you.

Win98 did not come with a "DVD player" and neither does Windows 2000.
Dell supplied one as part of the package you purchased. Try going to
www.google.com and enter "DVD player" + "Windows 2000" and pick from the
choices offered.
