DVD play on XP-PRO

I have a Toshiba Satelitte Pro, which i had 98 on but
upgraded to XP-PRO. I have installed DVD software, it runs
for about 1 second then get an error message saying the tv
out port is not enabled ? Please help
 
Some DVD movies wont play, with some
cards with TV out coz of macrovision/protection
on the DVD disk. And depending on what driver
you have for video (like NVIDIA). The software
for NVIDIA based cards, will also stop DVD's
running with cards with TV Out.
