DVD from mpg file

I have been away from this site now for a while after some three spinal
surgeries. I have forgotten most of what I picked up earlier. My wife took
some VCR tapes and converted them to MPG files using Haupuauge on the
computer. We would like to burn these to DVD's. The files are quite large
and so that precludes just a CD burn. Please bring me back up to speed. I
have Nero 6, but that shows no capability for doing what I would like to do.
Any help would be deeply appreciated. What software? These are mpg and not
mpeg files. I guess there must be a difference.

There's no difference between MPG and MPEG...at least as far as Nero or
Roxio are concerned. There should be an option in Nero to create a Video
DVD..... (note Video DVD and NOT Data DVD)..... import the MPEG files into
that and let it get on with it.

I see no provision to make a video DVD in Nero ... Data DVD, VCD yes ... but
no video DVD options in the places, where I looked. Help! Or can someone
else jump in here.

OK, OK I found the burn DVD video files option.

I am flying by the seat of my pants here, but I guess that is how we all
start in the arena. I am sure I will be back for more advice.

Thanks

Jerry
