I burned files to a dvd-r and they show up on my laptop but not my home PC.
The disk is healthy in disk management, but I just can't see the files as it
shows up as 0 bytes.

I tried it in my cd-rom and my dvd player

What kind of reader? I used Nero to burn image. Do I need to install Nero on
home PC. Please show link if one is available.

I tried to install the download and got this message near the end of the
install.

"Unable to access file association manager"

I am attempting to find out why.

OK, I did just that I installed the reader and all it does is sit in the
Program files and does nothing to help me read the DVD+R that I know has
program files on it. I also installed Nero as you recommended and got same
results.

What I can't understand is the inCD Reader has no opening up feature to it.
Whats the purpose of it then?

And this has WHAT to do with the OS? Oh right, NOTHING.
