dvd/cdrom not working

-- Hi Computer experts,

I can't find my dvd/cd rom icon in "my computer" and instead i have a Local
disk drive with a question mark on it that says D:\ this refers to a to a
location that is unavailable. In my device manager and next to my Dvd/ cdrom
drive i have a question mark and it says the device cannot start (code 10)

could you please give me some ideas on how to fix it.

Yan, did you try rt clicking on your Dvd/cdrom drive in Device Manager and
choose Uninstall. Restart and let WinXP
reinstall it.
