i burned some movies that i downloaded onto a DVD. now when i try to play
the
dvd, windows media player and other video players claim that it's a audio
file so it just plays that sounds, not the picture. why is this? what can
i
do to make it a video file? (it was a video file on the computer that i
burned it from)
If I understand correctly you are actually trying to create a data DVD to
play on your computer via Media Player?
Can I also assume that you did no editing to the video and are only trying
to burn the video file as it was when you received it?
Lastly did you play the video file in Media Player off your hard drive?
Normally if a video clip is playing in Media Player as an audio clip it is
because you do not have the correct codec installed.
If it played off your hard drive but no longer plays now that it is burned
on a DVD then what software did you use and how did you go about putting the
video file on your DVD?
If it is a DVD to play in a home DVD Player that you desire then follow the
links John gave you and you will be fine.
