I am trying to load a DVDROM game however when I try to start the DVD the
following error message appears "autoplay.exeis not a valid WIN32
application". Can someone explain to me what this means and how to fix it.

Hello,

This means that the specific program 'autoplay.exe' which is trying to run
when you insert the DVD is not a valid Windows program. This program was not
coded to run in a 32 bit windows environment. You might want to contact the
vendor of the DVD game to obtain more information.

Thanks however the game loads on a laptop I have with XP - it only doesn't
load on my desktop (also with XP). Any suggestions? Is there some problem
with Windows on the desktop?

I also encountered this and my solution was to replace the DVD drive.
Fortunately, my drive was on an 'exchange" warranty at my local big box
electronics store.

Things to try:

1) DVD lens cleaner

2) DVD disk cleaning

3) Copy install files to hard drive. Install from hard drive.

I'm having the same problem you are having with the invalid Win32
application, I have installed from this CD in the past, It's a setup CD for
My Sony SNC-M3 IP camera.
Why it won't install now , I don't know?
Thank
Ron
