Have you tried the Shampoo 6 yet?

Using XP defeats the purpose.
(But that's what I am doing presently)

I cannot even get through one burn CD or DVD.

Thanks

Does simple math work here?

A cd of 700 on Xp take about 3 min for me.

A dvd of 4.7 - almost 7 x's should be 21 minutes (7x3) No??

Thanks

Hey

Did image burn help?

I cannot believe it should take 4 hours or more to do a dvd.

I am not a geek but a CD take about 3 minutes on XP.

A dvd is about 7 times bigger - thus 7 times longer or 21 minutes - No???

The right answer is it depends on WHAT you are burning. I'll assume
based on the long times you are trying to render a traditional DVD, ie
some videos. If so, and the application you are using may need to
transcode the files first, then the times you are getting are within
the ballpark. However if you already have compliant MPEG-2 files and
are merely making the files "ready" to be accepted as a DVD, then
you're are right... THAT portion should takes about 15-20 or so
assuming a reasonably fast DVD burner.

If you ALWAYS get hung up at about 98% completely that suggests your
burner may need a firmware update or you may need a BIOS update or
both or the brand of media you are using is causing the burner to
choke. Whatever speed your burner is capable of, reduce it to 50% or
so.
