Duplicate StartUp

I am running Windows 98 SE. I couldn't find a newsgroup for it so I'm
trying here.

I went into MSCONFIG to edit my StartUp options and noticed that the
following is listed twice:

LoadPowerProfile Rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,LoadCurrentPwrScheme

So I went into MSINFO32 and Load Power Profile is listed as Machine Run and
Machine Service.

So then I went into REGEDIT and it is listed under these two:\

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

Can one of these be deleted? I'm assuming I would need to delete it from
within REGEDIT. If not, can someone tell me where to fix this? I'm
assuming it doesn't need to load twice and I want to make sure I get rid of
the correct one.

Hi Debbie,

They are normal, one loads system defaults, one loads user-defined power
settings. Leave them alone. Find the Win98 discussion group here:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion
