I'm running WinXP SP2.
Recently I've started having duplicate icons appearing on my toolbar.
I don't mean a double-height toolbar (although that's happening too),
but 2 separate and duplicate sets of icons on the toolbar for every
application I am running. For example, if I open IE I get 2 icons for
IE on the toolbar, one on the top level of the double-height toobar,
the other on the lower level. The applications are not running twice,
according to Task Manager, yet I get 2 icons for each application I do
have running. This is happening with all applications.
The duplicate icons are *not* appearing in the Quick Launch toolbar or
in any other toolbar I can control via right-click|toolbars. I've
tried turning off all toolbars I have enabled (normally only Quick
Launch, and that's not where the problem is), and then re-enabling
them, but the duplicate icons have not gone away.
Ideas? Suggestions?
