Duplicate "Contacts" listing, but it is empty

I just used the option to make my Contacts folder show as an address book.
Now I find that when I click on the "TO" in composing an email message in
Outloook 2003, I get the message:
"The address list could not be displayed..."

I then get a window, "Select names." On the right side, "Contacts" is
listed, but when I click on it, is it empty. However, if I drop down in that
window, I find another "Contacts" listing, which correctly contains my
contacts.

How can I delete the first, empty Contacts listing, to leave only the one
"good" Contacts listing, that I want to keep?

Go into Tools | E-mail Accounts, click View or change existing directories or
address books, click Next, then select the Outlook Address Book service in
the list and click Change. Remove any folders you don't want shown as
Outlook Address Books.
