Duplex Printer Advice Needed

Ashley

Hi,

I've been printing books off an HP in mass quantity. I've used a
number of
their higher-end printers, most of which are dulpex, network enabled,
some have
a harddrive and all the drivers print "Booklet Mode", which is
essential.
The problem is the price per page, which can be up to $0.20, making a
200 page book a very expensive photocopy.

I'm looking for printers that have the following considerations,
organized by
importance:
1. low price point, in terms of toner (as always)
--really need to get price per page= $0.01 (I know, I'm a dreamer).

2. Print speed. We can duplex at 20 shts/minute, which is extremely
fast.

3. Low error rate. Looking for something that does not need a 100%
dedicated
staff to run.

Of course, they must all duplex, and preferably would print in Booklet
format.
I've been using Laserjets. I'd be open to Ink ideas, too.

Thanks. I give these books away for free to people who need them, so
this will
help.

Ashley;

Have you considered refilling your Toner Cartridges. I use a LaserJet 5000
with a duplexer to print books in 8.5 X 11 format and do it much cheaper by
refilling. I just trashed the original cartridge after 2 years since I found
I could dump the Overflow Toner tank by drilling it and dumping excess toner
before refilling. Last time I bought the toner was $9.95 per refill and is
simple to do once you buy a refill kit. I use toner Southeastern Laser at
