I am hoping someone can help bring this software back to life. My wife uses
a proprietary software (from a vendor handpicked by the company)for her
business and recently she has been unabvle to access the program. When she
attempts to open it she gets the following message:
Could not load DUNZIP32.DLL.

When she clicks OK she gets this next message:
Access violation at address 7C918FEA in module 'ntdll.dll'. Write of
address 00000010.

I realize this is generated while trying to access non-MS software, but
since it had to do with "dll", something that is way over my head, I thought
I'd come here, where I always get the best advice. Thank you all in advance
for any and all help.

The best solution is for your wife to contact either her company's IT
Dept. and let them handle it or she should contact the tech support for
this proprietary software. Before she talks to either party, she should
be ready with the answer to The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what
changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't?

DUNZIP.DLL is part of DYNAZIP - an Active-X component used for
creating/reading ZIP files. It must be registered with the system to be
used.

I suspect that, when installing the application, something interfered with
the installation program's registration procedures (possibly a virus
checker).

Alternatively, if you can find the DUNZIP32.DLL program, make sure it is in
a location where Windows can find it: either in the application's main
folder or somewhere on the PATH.

Try installing the application in Safe Mode after making sure all ancillary
programs are turned off.

I think as 'Malke' advised you to tell Her to ask the company IT or contact
the Vendor for this software, as this looks like a programming issue and a
security issue too may be!.
