Dual Monitor question

Gerry Voras

I am running Windows 2000 Professional, and I have installed an Intel 82815
and Trident 96xx/938xxx video cards. All drivers are up to date, and
side-by-side dual monitors are working.

What I would like to do is display the same desktop from both cards, not
different parts of the desktop. The objective is so that one card can be
hooked up to a projector and the other to a monitor; the user would see the
same thing on both the projector and the monitor. My user has a little bit
of difficulty seeing, and while doing demonstrations needs to be fairly
close to a display; she cannot see adequately the projected image.

Thanks in advance.

Start -> Control Panel -> Display -> Settings (tab)

Select the display adapter that has the extended view on it. There is an
option that says to extend your desktop onto that display. Just unselect it,
and it will be a single desktop being displayed on both video cards.

OK, tried that... primary (intel) displays the desktop. The seconday
(trident) shows only the boot-time splash screen. Any other configs I could
try, or is it going to be that I need to get a different set of display
cards (incompatibility issues)?
