I have Win XP pro sp2 and want to dual boot with Win 2000. At
microsoft.com it is written in the tutorials and the Knowledge base that
you have to install Win 2000 first then install Win XP. I already have
XP installed, so do I have to uninstall it first, install 2000, and
reinstall XP? I have partition magic so i can create another partition
for 2000.

That article assumes that you will be using the built-in dual boot capability of Windows.

You can use PM8 to create another Primary partition, install Win2K, and use the Boot Manager (Boot Magic) that comes with PM8 to handle the dual boot. Hide the partitions in PM8 so that they do not see each other.

How do I install Windows 2000 after I've installed Windows XP?

It's advisable to always install older versions first. If you install an
older version after a newer you will have some work to do in order to get the
OS's properly working.
