Dual Booting Computer

Sophie

Hi I have a computer dual booting between windows 98se and windows xp pro.
Due to problems I am having with windows 98se I am considering formating
that partition and re installing windows 98se. What do files do I need to
backup and and what precautions do I need to take to ensure that I can still
boot into windows xp pro? Windows 98se is on c: and windows xp pro is on d:.
There is only one disk drive and it is partitioned into 3 partitions c: d:
and e:. I use windows 98 because of some incompatiblites but will need to
access my computer before I finish re installing windows 98se.

Thanks Sophie

Hi Sophie, I had a similar problem and formatted my drive that contained Win
98 SE but then my computer did not boot at all. Had to format the whole hard
disk and reinstall both Win 98 and XP. Also had to load all the programmes
all over. Lost some very good stuff i had downloaded. Please be careful when
thinking of deleting Win 98.
Regards,
farid,
