Dual boot W2K and Win98

Andy

I have a system setup with a dual boot for Windows 2000
and Windows 98.

The OS selector defaults to W2K after 30 seconds if the
user does not make another selection.

Is there a way to change the PC default to Win98 instead?

Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sitting in front of a Windows 2000 box, but try right clicking on My
computer and select properties. Go to advanced tab. From there it should
be startup and recovery with a dropdown near the top to pick which operating
system to start and an option to modify the wait timeout value.

Either use a text editor, such as NotePad, to manually edit
C:\Boot.ini to select a new default OS, or, from within Win2K,
right-click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Startup and
Recovery, Settings > Default operating system.
