Dual Boot Problems!

I was trying to load XP NTFS on my second hard drive ended up loading two
versions of XP on my computer. I now have a dual boot problem that I want to
get rid of and return to a single boot system. I have installed SP2 as well,
creating what seems like another problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

You can do this, use xp's disk manager to delete the other
partition, Then open boot.ini in a text editor and delete
the lines referring to the other os.
or use msconfig to verify the boot paths on boot.ini
after the deletion, and it will tell you the path does
exist and give the option to delete the nonvalid line.

Okay, thanks! I found the disk manager and think I have a handle on this. My
next question is: Will I lose all my data on my d: drive Healthy (Active)
when I do delete this partition? Or will it remain on the disk, just that the
computer will not boot to this volume? Tks for the feedback sgopus

:

Deleting a partition will lose the data on the partition.
