Dual boot (Me/2000) system LAN problem (Me works, not 2000)

I have a system which has both Me and Win2000 Pro
installed on different partitions allowing the system to
be booted into either OS on startup. In Me the Ethernet
connection to our home network works fine and Internet
access is available. When I boot to 2000 though (cold,
warm, whatever) I cannot connect to the Internet. I had
both partitions working fine with a dial-up connection.
The adapter hardware is the same and I have re-configured
the connection parameters several times with no luck. I
have a connection status indicator in 2000 which states I
have a network connection but whenever I open IE I just
get the error page (as if I had no connection).
I removed all traces of the dial-up modem connection
used previously and followed the Linksys router
instructions for setting up a connection in 2000 but it
simply won't connect for me. If I simply re-boot back into
Me everything is fine (IE/OE work normally).

Any suggestions welcomed!
Thanks,
Lee

Did you allow access to the internet for that pc's ip address? Can you ping
anything on the internet by ip or by name? If you can ping by ip but not by
name, your dns entries are wrong.
Did you get the correct DNS entries from your ISP?

Run the internet connection wizard again, sometimes that
will fix problems like this
