DSL with Norton Live Update

Since I had DSL installed, Live Update won't run. The message I get says
it cannot connect to my ISP and that I should verify that my dial up
settings are correct. Bellsouth and Symantec tech support have not
helped. What can I do to fix this issue? Thanks

Use the Live Update applet in Control Panel to tell it (LU) how
to connect to the Internet. It's likely your Dial-Up connectoid is
still present and Live Update thinks that is how it gets to the site
Liveupdate.SymantecLiveUpdate.com to get patches.

Remove the Dial Up connectoid and tell XP to "Never Dial a
Connection", which forces all INet calls to use the LAN.

You need to configure LiveUpdate to use DSL line.
