After recently switching from cable to DSL broadband
service, I am unable to enter Outlook Express without
breaking the connection with DSL. The new service comes
with Yahoo browser and mail. The DSL tech support gave
suggestions about entering the proper name, numbers and
addresses, which I entered, but when I try to enter
Outlook my DSL connection still breaks. The last
suggestion from tech support was to "Complete an in-place
upgrade of Windows XP, a repair of Windows XP or
reinstall Windows XP". I have the "Reinstallation CD of
Windows XP" but no tape backup. How can I perform their
suggestion without losing all my programs and files in
XP? Is there another way to solve this problem?
