DSA object could not be deleted

I removed a new backup domain controller after it would
not replicate properly with the existing domain
controller. I did not do a dcpromo demotion. I know that
this was extremely stupid. But now I have this domain
controller in the AD sites and services and I cannot
delete it. I keep getting DSA object could not be
deleted!!! I really want to remove the server so I can
retry to add a backup domain controller. If I try now, I
cannot user the name I want. Please help, I have tried a
lot of things. Is there anyway to recreate the AD on the
existing DC?

Hi Chris-

You need to cleanup AD with NTDSUTIL.

I have already tried to use this method, but it will not
allow me to select a domain number or list or select
sites, so I cannot select the server I want to clear. Any
other suggestions.
