I'm in the process of our Disaster Recovery Plan:

I have a backup of the System State
A standalone DC - loaded with win2000 sp4
Same name and IP address are configured as the previous DC

I'm trying to do a Non-Authoritative Restore...

I boot up in Directory Services Restore Mode - run the Restore Wizard -
everything works fine until I re-boot - it doesn't get past the Starting
Windows... screen.

Prior to restoring the System State I have NOT installed Active Directory,
DNS. DHCP or WINS (all configured on the original DC)

The Network Adapter is NOT plugged into the backbone (for obvious reasons).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably, an in-place upgrade would help.
